Binhai shines at culture and tourism expo

The four-day 2026 China Culture and Tourism Industries Expo concluded on Sept 6. Binhai New Area's booth became a top draw through immersive scenes, distinctive products and industry connections.

The booth included seven themed zones covering industry, technology, culture, scenic spots and visitor engagement. It highlighted over 10 major sites, including TEDA Aircraft Carrier Theme Park, the National Maritime Museum and Dongjiang Bay Beach.

More than 30 interactive events were organized, and over 300 technology and cultural products were displayed. VR, AR, AI, naked-eye 3D and LED screens showcased Binhai as a northern maritime tourism destination.

During the expo, the booth welcomed over 30,000 visits, over 60 percent of whom came from outside Tianjin. It reached preliminary cooperation agreements with tourism enterprises, study-tour institutions and travel agencies in scenic-area development, industrial tourism routes and smart tourism.

Several companies, including Oriental Weicheng Tourism Development (Tianjin) and Tianjin Daosheng Cultural Tourism, signed contracts to build a large live-experience cultural tourism area and an indoor technology cultural tourism complex.

Looking forward, Binhai plans to further develop tourism centered on its maritime culture and industrial heritage while expanding its range of tourism experiences.
