Kochia greets autumn in Binhai

As early autumn settles in the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City in Binhai New Area, Tianjin, the lush kochia at Bailuzhou Park has entered its viewing period, offering a fresh natural retreat without leaving the urban area.

Over the weekend, residents flocked to the park to admire the neatly arranged, plump green kochia plants, which form a striking patchwork of rounded, fluffy clusters. Against the clear blue sky and serene riverside scenery, visitors strolled, took photos, and immersed themselves in the soothing early-autumn atmosphere.

The park features well-maintained walkways and cycling paths, with benches for resting. Reeds sway by the water, wildflowers add splashes of color, and the harmonious interplay of water views and greenery reflects the eco-city's livable and tourist-friendly environment.

Currently, the kochia remains bright green. As temperatures cool, the foliage will gradually turn from green to yellow and then to light reddish-brown by late September. Peak viewing arrives in mid-to-late October, when the entire field transforms into a dazzling mosaic of yellow-green, rust, and reddish-brown hues, lasting until early to mid-November.
