The Tianjin Software Park · China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Half Marathon 2026, also known as the Bincheng Half Marathon, was held on April 12 in Binhai New Area, Tianjin, attracting 10,000 runners from Singapore, Japan, and across China.
Guan Siyang won the men's title in a time of 1 hr 9 min 51 sec, while Yang Kaixuan won the women's race in 1 hr 22 min 24 sec. Special prizes were set for local runners and corporate teams, showcasing the area's vibrant business environment.
The certified 21.0975-kilometer course featured a "half flowery road, half sea" theme. Starting at the Maritime Museum, it passed Dongdi Park, Tianjin Mazu Cultural Park, Beidi Ecological Corridor, and ended at the China-Singapore Friendship Garden.
Several Eco-City enterprises also took part. FAW Toyota sent 28 employees as runners and over 50 as cheerleaders.
Other companies, including Grateful Technology, China Resources and Environment, and China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Investment and Development, formed teams or provided supplies. Two outdoor cleaning robots operated at the 10 km aid station, each replacing three to five cleaners.
To boost consumption, the event offered special vouchers, hotel discounts, half-price tickets for Tianjin Jinmen Tiger football matches, and a "passport" for stamp collection at scenic spots.
Runners could also enjoy discounts or skip queues at local attractions using their race numbers. The Eco-City plans to further integrate sports, culture, tourism, and commerce for high-quality development.
