Hangu flying cymbals shine at national drum festival

Hangu flying cymbals, a national intangible cultural heritage item, represented Tianjin at the 2026 National Drum Festival held on March 15 in Zhengding Ancient Town, Shijiazhuang, Hebei province. The troupe performed alongside 14 top drum troupes from across China, showcasing the unique charm of Binhai New Area's cultural heritage.

During the performance, Hangu flying cymbal artists demonstrated energetic, powerful movements, with gleaming cymbals flying and drums beating passionately. The act blended folk music, dance, and martial arts elements, earning widespread acclaim.
