The "Future Ocean" Gallery of the National Maritime Museum covers an area of 1,700 square meters. Guided by the concept of "Encountering and Exploring the Future Ocean", the gallery presents eight themed scenarios.
The introductory zone employs immersive films and floating-ice installations to trace the history of the oceans and inspire reflection. The "Ocean Time-Space Slices" section presents 21 information slices that address the climate crisis and possible responses. Additional highlights include a deep-sea submersible cabin; a space station featuring multifunctional modules such as cultivation pods; a superconducting maglev tunnel; a transportation hub; a floating city; a floating-ice theater; and a concluding gallery.
Overall, the exhibition aims to transform visitors from passive observers into active participants in building a future of coexistence between humanity and the ocean.
