The northern section of the first phase of Tianjin Metro Line Z4 commenced operations on Jan 18.
At Beitang Station, one of the line's core stations, the distinctive "Beitang Red" facade harmonizes with the surrounding architecture. Inside the spacious concourse, the patterned brickwork evokes the area's historical significance as a vital hub for fishing and salt distribution during the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911).
Along the route, passengers can enjoy views of landmarks such as the Beitang Ancient Town, Rainbow Bridge, and the National Maritime Museum of China. As the imposing Kiev aircraft carrier comes into sight, the train arrives at Binhai Aircraft Carrier Theme Park Station. Themed around an aircraft carrier, the station features a ceiling that mimics a cloudy sky, while the walls are styled with oval portholes and a naval gray-and-red color scheme. Combining a sense of strength with modern design, it has become a popular spot for photos.
Beyond its unique architectural design, Line Z4 also prioritizes passenger comfort and accessibility, offering amenities such as air-conditioned waiting areas, barrier-free carriages, and care service boxes.
