[A National Second-Class Museum]
Formerly known as the Tanggu Museum, the Binhai New Area Museum is situated at the southern end of Zhongxin Road in the Tanggu area, where Hebin Park meets the Haihe River.
The museum's exhibition design draws from the historical heritage and cultural legacy of the Binhai New Area, blending museum principles, memorial hall aesthetics, and a fusion of traditional and modern artistic styles. Centered around the theme Binhai Stories, the exhibition is divided into eight sections: "National Strategy, Mission of the Era", "From Sea to Land, The Dawn of Civilization", "Fishing Songs at Dusk, Prosperity of Salt and Canal Trade", "Gateway to the Capital, Defending Against Foreign Invasions", "Striving for Strength, Industrial Salvation", "Revolutionary Path, The Break of Dawn", "Masters of Our Own Destiny, Building a Shared Homeland", and "Development and Openness, Riding the Tide".
Through these sections, the museum vividly and objectively showcases over 3,000 years of history and cultural evolution in the Binhai New Area since its formation. It highlights the area's profound historical significance and irreplaceable role in China's modern history.
