Taida Tropics Botanical Garden

6.泰达热带植物园.jpg

Built in 2003, the Taida Tropics Botanical Garden covers a total land area of 27,000 square meters, with the building area measuring 5,553 square meters. It consists of two glass pyramids connected by a 55-meter arched glass corridor. The structure is simple yet elegantly designed, with the glass curtain walls and main framework harmoniously integrated through a unique stainless steel component and rod system.

The larger pyramid is a four-season tropical greenhouse covering 2,500 square meters, primarily showcasing subtropical and tropical plants. It houses a first-class national protected plant, Encephalartos, the national treasure Xianglong Wood (Meliosma cuneifolia Franch), and a Buddha Belly Tree from Australia, measuring 1.8 meters in diameter and weighing 9 tons. The smaller pyramid is a desert plant exhibition hall, featuring a 5-meter-tall cactus native to South America and Lithops that are less than 1 centimeter in size.
